One of the teachers at the High School Teacher Retreat on October 24th was Jeanette Schuler. This is her log of how she implemented the information from the workshop into the classroom.

Friday –Oct.26, 2012

7-8PM Research gelatin printing and organize photos from blog site.

4-4:30 PM Make Jell-O for gelatin printing

7-8PM Research photo transfer methods.

Monday-Oct. 29, 2012

8-8:15 Set up gelatin/collage table.

1^st Hr Art 8:15- 8:30- Demonstrate mixed media gelatin printing and show samples.  Encourage the students to be “5” again. 

8:30-9:00 Students start experimenting with gelatin prints.  Teacher assist when needed.

2^nd Hr Art9:03-9:18 Demonstrate mixed media gelatin printing and show samples.  Encourage the students to be “5” again. 

9:18-9:48 Students start experimenting with gelatin prints.  Teacher assist when needed.

3^rd Hr. Art 9:51-10:04 Demonstrate mixed media gelatin printing and show samples.  Encourage the students to be “5” again. 

10:04-10:36 Students start experimenting with gelatin prints.  Teacher assist when needed.

10:36-11:30 Teacher still cleaning up.

1-3 PM Make photo transfer sample as option for students to try on top of their gelatin collages.

Tuesday -Oct. 30, 2012

8-8:15 Set up photo transfer area.

1^st Hr Art 8:15- 8:30- Demonstrate photo transfer as option for students to use on gelatin collage prints.

8:30-9:00 Students continue collage/gelatin prints.  Teacher assist when needed.

2^nd Hr Art 9:03-9: 18 Demonstrate photo transfer as option for students to use on gelatin collage prints.

9:18-9:48 Students continue collage/gelatin prints.  Teacher assist when needed.

3^rd Hr Art 9:51-10:04 Demonstrate photo transfer as option for students to use on gelatin collage prints.

10:04-10:36 Students continue collage/gelatin prints.  Teacher assist when needed.

10:36-11 Teacher Finish Clean-up.  Reconstitute gelatin in microwave.

11-12PM Upload photos of student projects and complete log and email.
